Who Am I?
A Mom… A Catholic woman who is looking to find meaning and purpose in my vocation as wife and mother. I am active in my local Church, happily married and have seven children who take up a whole lot of time and energy. I seek out the face of Christ in my day-to-day life and call on his PERFECT mother for help.
I enjoy sharing my walk of motherhood with other women, as we all should cherish these precious years as they grow up so quickly! My children range from 17 years old to a one-year-old. It seemed like just yesterday when my journey of motherhood began, and yet that was over a dozen years ago. We can never turn the clock around, so let us do our best to maximize each day for the Lord.
Despite what kind of day it is we must remember as Mothers that Christ is there in the small moments throughout the day. He wants to lead us to “green pastures and still waters” (Psalm 23). He wants our soul at rest no matter how many times you loaded your car up to drive to school or activities or surviving a long day with toddlers at home!
Motherhood has an eternal value thanks to our Catholic understanding of vocation, despite how the modern world tries to trivialize it! We need to reclaim this important job for Christ and do our best to be sanctified by our daily duties.
I have a B.A. from Franciscan University of Steubenville in Mental Health and Human Studies and a Minor in Human Life Studies. This education has laid an important background for helping me to see the dignity of each child and know how to stay sane in an “upside down world”!
I am like so many other women, who have turned down wonderful careers to stay home and be the “heart of the home” this sacrifice has had a hefty price but well worth it! Through all the busyness of raising children, I have managed to remain active in many pursuits with the desire to find a healthy balance.
My hope is that you know you are not alone as you venture down the “narrow path” of Catholic motherhood! Peace, love, and joy to you and your family! Know that you have my prayers and support as we raise children with Heaven in Mind! Check out my ministry sites at thefriendshiopprojectbook.com and www.divinemercyformoms.com
